Welcome to Day 1 of the Get Moving Challenge! Today, we are diving headfirst into the exhilarating world of the Momentum Mindset. Are you ready to shatter your limits, break free from the chains of self-doubt, and unleash the unstoppable force within you?


Overcoming the Intimidation Factor


Let's face it - the mere thought of embarking on a fitness journey can send shivers down our spines. The vision of running a mile or conquering 20 push-ups might feel like an insurmountable mountain standing in our way. The truth is, we often find ourselves overwhelmed by the enormity of the task ahead, allowing our fears to paralyze us into inaction.


But hey, I get it. We've all been there, staring at that daunting starting line, wondering if we have what it takes. So today, I challenge you to shift your perspective. Instead of fixating on the end goal, focus on the first step. Embrace the journey, not just the destination. I've been preparing for a wedding over the last 6 months and had big goals of losing weight before the big day! Well, it looks like that goal has come and gone. However, I did get in the habit of doing 2 minute planks, 2 minute wall sits 2 to 3 times per day., and walking 3 days a week and playing golf 2 days per week. I did not lose weight, but I also did not watch my food intake either, nor did i give up alcohol. I did however become stronger and feel like I'm one step closer to not being a fat couch potato on my computer all day!

It's all about building that positive momentum, one small victory at a time. Whether it's opting for the stairs instead of the elevator or choosing a salad over a burger, every decision counts.


Remember, progress is not linear. Some days you'll feel like you're on top of the world, while others might leave you questioning your abilities. But here's the secret - it's all part of the process. Embrace the highs and the lows, for they are what mold you into the resilient warrior you are destined to become.

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. So why not kickstart this journey with unwavering commitment for the next three weeks? Pick a thing, set an alarm, do the thing, and challenge yourself to keep at it. Wall sits do get easier, your thighs will stop shaking, planks are doable, and your arms will start showing it.


Challenge yourself to push beyond your limits, to defy the odds, and to discover the boundless potential that lies within you.
